The Vile Plumage as they sounded a decade ago. Simpler times. Meet at 7AM on a Sunday morning and head to ‘The Goose’ , a dead building almost exactly halfway between the houses of Duke & Peter. At the Goose they would set up their equipment - minimal battery operated things - and run through a set of ‘songs’. Chants, shanties & weird little bubbles of sound. These recordings would then be put under the knife. A cut here. A cut there, Loop. Pan. Job done. Almost effortless. These songs were originally available on a 3 inch CDR. Hundreds were made (sold, given away, lost). The cover photo is of the Goose itself. Although the building is captured in the shot, the image tells you nothing of what it was like to be there, hungover and crazy. Toughing out the stares from people trudging up and down the street.
